Sigismondo V by Canto Perfume. Richly satisfying and undeniably sophisticated, Sigismondo V is a warm, magnetic woody oriental fragrance that intermingles elements of robust yet balanced oud and spice with a hint of elegant floralcy. Opening notes are a charming effusion of suede-soft saffron and cinnamon. An embracing accord of Cambodian oud emerges as the scent settles, subtly sweet with nuances of dried fruit and tobacco. Accompanying heart notes of Bulgarian rose, red patchouli and aromatic cypriol oil enhance and harmonize. Earthier, subtly animalic Indian oud and precious ambergris in the base merge with vanilla and musk, leaving a sumptuous, lingering trail.
This rose oud composition was first launched in 2020 by the niche Italian design house V Canto. The scent takes its name from the historic Italian governor and condottiere Sigismondo Pandolfo Malatesta (1417-1468).
